What 1INFO Is

1INFO is a curated directory of Swiss websites. Browsing the directory does not require an account, and clicking through to a listed site takes you directly there — we do not track which listing you eventually chose beyond an anonymous click event described under "Information We Collect" below.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal personal information from users:

• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous data about how you interact with our website, including the categories you browse, the searches you run, and the listings you click through to. This helps us understand which sites are actually useful to visitors and keep the directory current.
• Cookies and Local Storage: We use cookies and browser local storage for essential site functionality — such as remembering your theme and language preference — and, only with your consent, for analytics and advertising. You choose which categories to allow in the cookie consent banner shown on your first visit, and can change your choice at any time via "Cookie policy" in the footer.
• Contact Form: If you use our contact form , we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide so that we can respond to you. This information is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore), a third-party cloud database provider, and is associated with a randomly generated, anonymous identifier used only to apply rate limits and prevent abuse.
