Montreux Jazz Festival

Two weeks of music on Lake Geneva each July, covering rock, pop, soul and electronic music as well as jazz. Many lakeside stages and workshops are free to attend; only the main halls need tickets. Paid tickets go on sale in spring and sell quickly. One of the best-known festivals in the world.
